It’s been another busy year for celebrity weddings with some of the world’s most famous faces tying the knot…
…..including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and of course, the world’s most famous bachelor, George Clooney.
I thought it would be a great idea to detail some of our favourite celebrity wedding flowers and help you with some inspiration for your own wedding flowers.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
There was plenty of hype in the build up to Kanye and Kim’s big day, and there was certainly no expense spared, especially where the flowers were concerned. Kim created a beautiful ‘wall of flowers’ as a back drop whilst reciting their vows, made up of stunning white flowers such as White Roses, White Peonies and White Gardenias.
The end result was glamorous and over the top, but we would expect nothing less from this couple. You can create a similar opulent look yourself using selections of white and cream blooms, and if you prefer a subtler look, why not have them woven into an arch or as a single panel which will create the same striking look, without the extra expense.
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin
I’m glad it was a Brit who finally tamed everyone’s favourite leading man George Clooney. Amal looked gorgeous during her Italian wedding to George, wearing an off-the-shoulder dress which itself featured floral lace detailing. Keeping in with the white floral theme for her bridal bouquet, Amal kept things simple and traditional which added a feminine, delicate touch. These celebrity wedding flowers also reflected the theme inside the venue, with white flowers such White Lilies, White Carnations and White Roses filling the inside.
White is a great colour for wedding flowers, fitting in with any colour scheme and theme, and compliments the bride’s dress. Adding light to darker venues, you can’t go wrong with white flowers.
Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting
The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco saw in the New Year in style with her beautiful winter wedding, and showed us that weddings don’t always have to stick to a traditional colour scheme. Kaley’s dress was a beautiful shade of pale pink and looked every inch like a fairy-tale princess.
Her bridal bouquet also provided a nice twist to the usual white bouquet, with white and pale pink blooms making a gorgeous display. Whilst many people choose white for a winter wedding, it was nice to see Kaley mixing things up. Create your own sweet bouquet with a mixture of pink and white roses, adding ribbon and lace details to create the perfect finishing touch.
